Enzo Jennings Signs with Penn State

Four-star safety from Oak Park, Michigan, Enzo Jennings, signs with Penn State Wednesday morning. Early signing day is like Christmas morning for college football fans and Nittany Lion fans are no different. A thing that is important to Penn State is recruiting young men that are a good cultural fit with high character. Playing well on the field is important, but so is a young man with good character. Jennings has both. He is a top 300 prospect, ranking 12th at safety and third in Michigan according to 247Sports.

Jennings Breakdown

The Penn State secondary is full of young talent. Keaton Ellis played a lot this season as a true freshman. The defensive coaches are ready and willing to play young talent and help develop each one. This mindset will likely fair well for Jennings when he arrives at Penn State. Jennings had 25 offers, including Ohio State, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Clemson, and Alabama. Further, he went on three visits. All of those visits occurred in June. The first in line was the University of Kentucky, then Pittsburgh, finally arriving in Happy Valley on June 21st. Jennings then committed to the Nittany Lions on June 27th. The safety is an Under Armour All-American, weighs in at 188 lbs and is six feet tall.

Scouts compare Jennings to Artie Burns of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is physical, played varsity three years in high school, and has very good speed. Even with such a young group in the Penn State secondary, look for Jennings to make an immediate impact.
