#14 Texas A&M @ #18 Arkansas: Two weeks ago I would have predicted a close, exciting game. Then Arkansas got spanked by Alabama. I like the Aggies by 10 or so.
Minnesota @ #19 Michigan: The Golden Gophers have to be fighting mad after losing to North Dakota State last week (at home!) but I don’t think they’ll be fired up enough to beat the Wolverines.
Northwestern @ #24 Illinois: Northwestern lost to Army two weeks ago. I don’t think they’re as bad as that makes them sound, but I also don’t think they’re good enough to beat a ranked Illinois team, even with talented QB Dan Persa returning from injury.
Kentucky at #1 LSU: Kentucky doesn’t have the weapons on offense to overcome a swarming LSU defense, nor do I think they have the defense to beat the Tigers’ running game.
Nevada @ #4 Boise State: Would someone who can compete with Boise State please deign to play them? This is ridiculous.
Auburn @ #10 South Carolina: The Gamecocks have had scares this season, but they’ve come out of every one with the W. Auburn may lead early, but this game will be no different.
#15 Baylor @ Kansas State: QB Robert Griffin the Third, a.k.a. RGIII, will put together another big game to continue the Baylor win streak.
#21 Georgia Tech @ N.C. State: Georgia Tech is having a good season so far. They’re unbeaten and will stay that way for another week.
Bowling Green at #22 West Virginia: Now that South Florida has a loss, West Virginia is right back in the Big East race. I can’t see them losing to a MAC team.
#13 Clemson @ #11 Virginia Tech: Probably the best matchup of the weekend. I like Sammy Watkins and Clemson in a close one.
Ball State @ #2 Oklahoma: Oklahoma could probably play their second-team guys for the whole game and still win. They’ve been that dominant.
#17 Texas @ Iowa State: Texas is rebounding nicely from a 2010 season well below their usual standard. They should beat the Cyclones.
#3 Alabama @ #12 Florida: Another game worth watching. Can Bama’s D handle Florida’s speed? After watching the Tide thump Arkansas last weekend, I’m taking them, but the score this weekend will be much closer.
#8 Nebraska @ #7 Wisconsin: Welcome to the Big Ten, Nebraska. Allow me to introduce you to Russell Wilson. I like Wisconsin at home in an entertaining matchup.
UCLA @ #6 Stanford: Stanford has been finding ways to win all year, I don’t see any reason they can’t do the same this weekend.
Oregon State @ #25 Arizona State: QB Nick Foles and Arizona State have been a pleasant semi-surprise this season. The Beavers (yes, that really is what they’re called) haven’t won a game. I’ve got ASU.
