The 6-foot-2, 25-year-old blue liner was injured with less than a minute remaining in the first period of Philadelphia’s 4-3 win over Colorado. Schenn was chasing down the puck in the Flyers defensive zone behind the goal line to the left of goaltender Steve Mason when he was pushed from behind by opposing Avalanche player Nathan MacKinnon. As a result, Schenn was sent crashing awkwardly into the boards. MacKinnon received a five-minute major for boarding.
