Charlie Weis Relieved of Coaching Duties at Kansas

Defensive Coordinator Clint Bowen will serve as the interim head coach for the rest of the season. A national search for a full-time replacement is expected to begin immediately. Kansas Athletic Director Dr. Sheahon Zengler described the reasoning behind the decision succinctly.
“I think this decision gives our players the best chance to begin making progress right away,” #KU AD Dr. Sheahon Zenger said. #kufball — JayhawkSlant (@JayhawkSlant) September 28, 2014
