The BC Lions have now been blown out in consecutive weeks, the latest coming in Winnipeg on Saturday.
Here are the biggest takeaways from Week 4 as the Leos fall to 1-2 on the season.
Was The 2016 Version Of Jonathon Jennings Just A Mirage?
I really liked Jennings. ’16 Jennings looked like a future HOF player. Clearly that’s not who he is. Time for a change of the guard.

You have to wonder if Shane might be right.
2018 was supposed to be the bounce-back redemption year for the 25-year-old Saginaw State product.
But through three games now, Jennings has yet to pass for 200 or more yards in a single contest.
Once again, Jennings looked lost and inaccurate with his reads in Week 4, which was demonstrated in the two terrible interceptions he threw against Winnipeg on Saturday, both to former teammate Adam Bighill.
You now have to wonder how short the leash is on Jennings as a starter, with Lulay waiting in the wings.
What happened to Bryan Burnham?
Over the span of the last two years, Bryan Burnham has become one of the top-tier receivers in the league with consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in both 2016 and 2017.
Three games into 2018, and he’s only caught 10 balls for 102 yards.
On Saturday, he was a complete non-factor. Burnham has really been Jennings’ go-to-guy since JJ entered the league, and they need to re-find their connection quick or this offence will continue to sputter down the stretch.
Run Defence A Glaring Hole
In last two blowout losses, there has been a significant problem on the Lions defensive side of things…
Week 3: C.J. Gable – 23 rushes / 165 yards (7.2 avg)
Week 4: Andrew Harris – 12 rushes / 109 yards (9.1 avg)
Safe to say the loss of Adam Bighill has been a big one for the Leos, who are already weak in the secondary as well.
Good news if you’re the Blue Bombers. You get to play the Lions next Saturday.
Unless something drastically changes, expect the same type of result in Week 5.
