According to reports from Sky Sports, France under-21 international, Georges-Kévin N’koudou has signed with Tottenham Hotspur on a five-year-contract. A fee of £11m has been mooted for his transfer from Olympique de Marseille. Out of favor Spurs player Clinton N’Jie will also go to Marseille on loan for this season. Marseille will have an option to buy N’Jie at the end of the season.

Career So Far
A promising young winger, he has represented his country 12 times at youth level. The future looks bright with the national team, as they play a formation suitable to a winger such. However, he’ll have to displace Kingsley Coman, a similar player in many respects, to make his international debut.
His senior career includes time spent at Nantes and Marseille, before moving to the North London outfit. In these three seasons, he has notched seven goals in 61 Ligue Un appearances. Whilst this record appears less than convincing, at just 21 he has plenty of time to add to this goal tally.
What Will He Bring
In terms of playing style, Nkoudou is vibrant and exciting on the ball. His explosive pace coupled with delicate dribbling is a force to be reckoned with. This fits in well with the Tottenham attacking philosophy and should give Spurs some depth on the wings.
Champions League football does require a depth of quality in the squad. The signing of Nkoudou provides quality and therefore will play a vital role in the squad. Arguably, he is unlikely to start the majority of matches, but when injury strikes or form drops, he’ll be able to prove himself. Some of the Tottenham wide players are yet to prove themselves, such as Nacer Chadli and Clinton N’Jie, which provides an excellent opportunity for him to shine. It may even push his fellow team-mates harder, bringing out their best in order to compete for the starting position.
