Andy Mulumba, a Congo native and Canadian citizen, has officially joined the second NFL team of his pro football career. After three seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Mulumba signed a one year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs last week.
Mulumba’s agent Tom Tafelski confirmed the signing to the Kansas City Star after the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal broke the news first.
“He’s looking forward to learning about the town and people of K.C. and is very interested in being a community guy,” Tafelski said. “That’s what he liked about Green Bay, that small hometown feel, and he feels he’ll have that in K.C. He likes what K.C. has to offer as an organization.”
The same year Mulumba was drafted by the Bombers, he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Packers to a 3-year, $1.49 million deal and ended up starting three games and appearing in 22 contests mostly on special teams during his time in Green Bay.
