Jack Jones Commits to USC

Another top prospect has made his decision on national signing day as Jack Jones will be attending USC next year. His recruitment was a big one for the Trojans who make a late day surge towards a top ten class.

Jack Jones figures to be the next 5 star recruit in line from Long Beach Poly High in Southern California to be a major impact player in college football, following in the footsteps of Iman Marshall last year (USC) and Juju Smith-Schuster in 2014 (USC).

The 5-11, 175 pound Jones played both offense and defense for the Jackrabbits, amassing 837 yards receiving with 11 touchdowns. He also rushed for 79 yards. He also is one of the top rated defensive backs in the country and has made it clear that he wants to go to a school that will give him the chance to play on both sides of the ball.

The dual threat skills helped him garner 25 different offers, including Miami, Notre Dame, Michigan and Florida. Just days ago he announced, via twitter, that he had dropped UCLA and Oklahoma from his list and had it narrowed down to USC, Alabama and Texas A&M.

Jones played in the US Army All American game in San Antonio last month as a punt returner and a defensive back. He didn’t have many punt return yards as the East squad was mostly kicking away from him, but he did have a nice leaping interception towards the end of the game.
