Jonathan Huberdeau Agrees to Terms on a Two-Year Contract With Florida

As training camp opens, the Florida Panthers got one of their key forwards under contract.  The team announced a two-year deal with Jonathan Huberdeau on Thursday.

“Fantastic,” Panthers general manager Dale Tallon said. “I’m real happy for [Huberdeau] and I’m real happy for our team. It’s good to have everything settled and be a whole unit. Sometimes it takes longer than others, but I was confident we’d get it done. It was just a matter of time. You get no extra points for doing it sooner than later.”

The Panthers did not release financial details of the contract, but according to TSN’s Bob McKenzie, it carries a $3.25 million cap hit per season.

The following is a press release from the club.
