After scoring 27 goals in his first full season, including scoring six goals in a month three times, Hoffman was due for a little raise after getting picked in the fifth round at the 2009 draft. He’s bounced from Binghamton(AHL affiliate) to Ottawa the past few seasons before earning his ice in 2014-15. The one-year contract is likely a bridge deal to see how Hoffman will fare coming off such an impressive campaign.

OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the National Hockey League’s arbitrator has awarded forward Mike Hoffman a one-year contract with a value of $ 2.0 million.
Hoffman, 25, established new statistical career highs in all major categories in 2014-15, registering 48 points (27 goals, 21 assists) and 14 penalty minutes over 79 regular-season contests.
