- Zach Lee, SP, Los Angeles Dodgers
Lee is a young Dodgers pitcher who was taken in the first round in 2010. Has looked really good in the minors so far this year. He is 3-0 with a 0.95 ERA and 18 SO. With Brandon McCarthy out for the season, there is a long shot that Zach Lee gets a shot finally. He is worth a look in deep mixed leagues.
- Carlos Correa, SS, Houston Astros
While I don’t see Correa getting the call anytime soon even with Jed Lowrie currently on the Disabled List, he is great player to keep an eye out for. If Houston is in the hunt late in the season they could give him an opportunity to play.
- Francisco Lindor, SS, Cleveland Indians
He is still waiting on the call to the show. Lindor is not tearing up Triple-A at the moment so it might take until July for the call. He may not make an immediate impression on your fantasy team but in deep leagues he is definitely worth a look.
- Kevin Plawecki, C, New York Mets
Travis D’Arnaud got hit in the hand this past weekend and should be out a while. Pick up Plawecki as his replacement. Maybe you catch lighting in a bottle and he gets hot.
- Carlos Rodon, SP/RP, Chicago White Sox
He recently got called up and should be solid out of the bullpen. There is not much fantasy value with him coming out of the bullpen as there are no chances for any saves, but he should pile up some K’s and have a good ERA. You can stash him on your roster until he gets a chance to start.
- Rusney Castillo, OF, Boston Red Sox
Castillo is still having shoulder trouble in Triple-A and he is on the DL at the moment, but wait and hold for him. He still has the power and speed combo that everyone wants, it will just take an injury in Boston before he can show his talents.
- Yasmani Tomas, 3B/OF, Arizona Diamondbacks
Tomas finally got the call back to the big leagues. It’s still early and going to take some time for him before he has everyday at bats. So for Tomas, hold unless you have a deep bench, then pick him up and stash.
- Addison Russell, SS/2B, Chicago Cubs
Russell got the call up to the major leagues for the Cubs. He should be picked up in 100% of leagues with his mix of great power and speed for the middle infield. If you missed out on Kris Bryant, use your waiver on this kid. You will be able to play him at 2B or SS.
- Jimmy Paredes, OF/DH Baltimore Orioles
Paredes has come out of nowhere. He is still only 26 years old and batting every time a righty is on the mound. Take a shot on this kid while his hot streak lasts.
