FANTASY PROFILE: JOSH DONALDSON, 3B, TORONTO BLUE JAYS
LWOS Ranking: 1, Captain’s Value: $15.55
How much better can Josh Donaldson get? He has been one of the best offensive players in fantasy baseball these last two seasons and seems to be getting better. Donaldson has improved his Homerun, RBI, Runs, and SB totals every year he’s been the league. As if his stock couldn’t get any higher, Donaldson was traded from the A’s and their very spacious park to the Toronto Blue Jays. The Roger Centre surrendered the third most homeruns in baseball last season, and Donaldson will surely see an increase in HRs. Not to mention he will be hitting behind fellow power hitters Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion.
There’s not much that needs to be said about Josh Donaldson. His last two seasons were not flukes and all signs are pointing to Donaldson having another great season. I expect his power numbers to increase, making him a very valuable fantasy player. Yes, he will cost you a 2nd round pick, but he is worth the high pick because of his 30/100/100 potential. Draft Donaldson with high expectations.
