Brandon Flowers Stays with the San Diego Chargers

According to reports, Corner Back Brandon Flowers has resigned with the San Diego Chargers

According to reports, Corner Back Brandon Flowers has resigned with the San Diego Chargers, the deal is reported to be a 4-year $36 million contract.

Flowers, who signed a one year ‘prove-it’ deal with the Chargers last offseason, played 14 games last season. During his time at the Chargers he has had 52 combined tackles and 3 interceptions.

Originally drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 35th overall pick in 2008, Flowers has had an illustrious career with 20 interceptions, 5 fumble recoveries, 4 forced fumbles and two sacks he has also scored 3 touchdowns. He was let go in 2013 after a sub par season 3 years into a 5 year $50 Million contract.

At 5ft 9in Flowers, may not be the tallest corner in the league but he has shown an ability to close down receivers and to hold grudges, rumour has it that he originally signed with the Chargers so he could play against the Chiefs last season. At 29 the Corner has more than likely signed his last big money contract.
