Now that the trade deadline is behind us, Ben and Dave review all the moves of the last week. The boys go conference by conference and discuss all the moves in what might have been a very slow deadline day, but was a very active week.
We ask if any team do better than the Anaheim Ducks in remaking their defence corps? Is Antoine Vermette what the Blackhawks need? Did the Kings overpay for Andrej Sekara? The Blues were active, what about their moves? Can the boys figure out what the Sharks were thinking this week?
Out East we look at Montreal, New York, Detroit, and Tampa Bay all adding big name defencemen to the roster. Who made the best deal, the Habs with Jeff Petry? the Rangers with Keith Yandle? Detroit with Marek Zidlicky, or the Lightning with Braydon Cobourn?
Did the moves in Boston secure a playoff spot for the Bruins and save the jobs of general manager Peter Chiarelli and head coach Claude Julien? Or will the addition of Jaromir Jagr put the Florida Panthers in that last wild card spot?
Lastly, we ask what exactly happened in the most shocking trade of the year, the Nathan Horton/David Clarkson swap? Why did the Blue Jackets and Leafs agree to this blockbuster trade?
