FANTASY CBB 2-26-15

This is such a unique slate of games tonight for Fantasy CBB. What makes it unique is that there are no true high totals and there is probably more value.

This is such a unique slate of games tonight. What makes it unique is the fact that there are no true high totals in Fantasy CBB tonight and there is probably more value then there are top plays. On a night like tonight, you want one thing and that one thing is everything! What I mean is you want to be able to roster players that can produce all over a stat sheet. The upside on players like this is far greater than just scorers, rebounders, or passers. When looking for who to roster keep in mind how well rounded the players your picking are because tonight more than any night is about upside potential.

Top High Priced Plays

D’Angelo Russell -Guard Ohio State. Price 10300

When it comes to certain players, I often find myself asking if I choose not to play them tonight then when would I? With Russell this question is valid tonight. It’s apparent that Russell has not played like himself recently, but he has been on the road in four of his last five games. The one home game he had 35 fantasy points which is certainly not a killer. If you are ever going to pay up for Russell’s tag, tonight would be it. Nebraska is soft inside and talented players have performed very well against them all year. I wouldn’t be worried about Nebraska’s pace as Russell just fills it up at home. With not many top dollar options tonight, Russell is my favorite.

Branden Dawson -Forward Michigan State. Price 9500

This is the same scenario as above. I ask you if you choose not to play Brandon Dawson tonight then when would you? This game sets up perfect for Dawson to have a huge game. With his block/steal upside he can pay this off with a modest game in the scoring column. If I have to use one of them I prefer Russell, but I feel you need at least one of these guys in your lineups tonight.

Top Mid-Priced Plays

Will Cummings -Guard Temple. Price 7600

Cummings may be the best player that no one talks about in college basketball. A guy that tends to poke holes all over a box score and rack up points and steals at a nice clip. He draws a dream of a match-up against Houston who struggles against bad players. Cummings is the real deal; expect a nice showing from him tonight.

Armani Moore -Guard Tennessee. Price 7700

The fact that Moore is Guard eligible is actually comical, but I get it. He plays more of a hybrid 3 while on the floor, and while he may be labeled a guard, he plays more like a forward. With Roberson expected back, I assume him to be hounding Richardson and Moore will be given his opportunities. Moore is another player today that can spread out a box score and tonight that is the angle to take.

Top Low-Priced Plays

Riley LaChance -Guard Vanderbilt. Price 5100

I want to start by saying this is not a dream match-up for LaChance. What my thing is here is the price. LaChance has 30 point upside when his threes are falling and I’ve done far worst in the past for 5100. There is value here in LaChance and with a high floor based on his tag he makes for a nice punt option.

Reid Travis -Forward Stanford. Price 4600

Expect Travis to be highly owned tonight. He has been coming off the bench since he has come back from injury, any game now he will be plugged back in the starting lineup. Whether he starts or not tonight the minutes will be there and Oregon State is awful on the glass. This will open the door for Travis to pile up rebounds and take high percentage shots. If Travis gets 25+ minutes tonight which he should, he has a great shot to exceed his value at near minimum price.
