Valentine’s Day is the one of the most emotional holidays we celebrate. It’s a great day to spend with the person we’re in love with and really show how important they are to us. There are really three types of couples you normally see on Valentine’s Day. Number one is the two people who really enjoy each other’s company, but there is no true emotional feelings involved. We’ll say they genuinely like each other. Number two is the people in a relationship who love each other, but are not at that stage of true love just yet. Last but not least, is the married couple who are in love with each other and just love everything about one another. I will be presenting you with the plays I like, the plays I love, and the plays I’m in love with for tomorrow’s slate on Valentine’s Day.
Fantasy NCAAB Plays 2-14-15 Early
“Plays I’m In Love With”
Kris Dunn -Guard Providence. Price 10300
Dunn is a sensational talent who plays for a team that doesn’t get much global attention. Dunn puts up Lebron equivalent numbers on a nightly basis padding in multiple areas of the box score. Providence will be a home favorite tomorrow against Seton Hall with a team total over 70. If your worried about his high tag, just know that in his last five home games he’s averaged 45 fantasy points. If your wondering where to start tomorrow, Dunn is a great place.
Shaq Goodwin -Forward Memphis. Price 7200
Was mentioned here the last time he was on the court and he payed off big time. His price was 5800 back then and Fanduel adjusted him up to 7200 since. This is still not enough to push me away. His match-up against South Florida is a great one as they are just terrible inside and Goodwin could really cleanup here. He has played 38 and 39 minutes his last two and gotten no less 30 fantasy points his last three. Enjoy this ride while his price is still playable because it will soon come to an end.
Brice Johnson -Forward North Carolina. Price 7700
Consistency is not exactly easy to find in fantasy sports, but Johnson is a rare exception. Despite the amount of good games he continues to have, Fanduel does not move his price tag. Johnson is a very proficient player that grabs rebounds at a very high rate despite rarely seeing more than 30 minutes of court time. His block and steal potential on any given night also cannot go unnoticed. At 7700, 31 fantasy points will do, and Johnson has achieved this in six of his last seven games.
“Plays I love”
Jamel Artis -Forward Pittsburgh. Price 8000
Artis’s Price has risen as expected recently, but it is still not high enough to let go. He had a horrible match-up on the road vs Louisville, but still almost hit value. Playing North Carolina Artis couldn’t ask for a faster paced game, and expect him to get up a lot of shots and rebound his normal rate. Not in love with the price, but love the match-up.
Marcus Georges-Hunt -Guard Georgia Tech. Price 7100
I love Hunt’s Price here. He will be a low owned player tomorrow and has tremendous upside against Florida State. He plays virtually the entire game and only sits when in foul trouble. Hunt has the ability to fill up the box score in all areas and has a very high usage in the offense. This is the lowest Hunt’s price has been in a while and make sure you take at least a little advantage of it tomorrow.
Normal Powell -Guard UCLA. Price 8200
Powell has had two duds recently, but I love this spot for a big bounce back for him. He is the most consistent player on a very talented UCLA team, and with the very fast pace if the game tomorrow against Oregon, expect a big showing from Powell. He can score at will and steals the ball at a very high rate. With all the possessions expected tomorrow, Powell could be in for a huge game.
“Plays I Like”
Tony Parker -Forward UCLA. Price 5400.
Parker was mentioned on here last time he played and didn’t disappoint. While his price then was 5200, this is a much better match-up. The knock on Parker is he tends to get in foul trouble, but with the pace of this game his reward certainly outweighs his risk.
Jerell Martin -Forward LSU. Price 8600
Jordan Mickey is in play as well, but Martin’s price is far less. Tennessee is easy to score on in the paint and Martin and Mickey could both have big games. Martin is one of the top big men in the country and with his price still affordable, I like this game for him to exceed value. With a great usage rate and poor defensive front court for Tennessee, Martin could be lined up for an excellent game.
Travis Jorgenson -Guard Georgia Tech. Price 4500
If you build your lineup and need a 4500 guard to finish it out, Jorgenson would be your guy. Since taking over the starting reigns Jorgenson has been playing well and getting over 20 minutes a game. There will be ample opportunities for him to pick up easy assists and get good looks at the rim against Florida State. He can get you value with barely even scoring and at minimum price what more can you ask for?
