This summer, the Harry Kane transfer saga was one of the biggest stories with the star Tottenham Hotspur striker eyeing a move away from his boyhood club after their continuous decline since reaching the Champions League final in 2019.
Kane, 28, made his intentions clear that he wanted to leave with champions Manchester City heavily favoured to land the striker who won the Golden Boot and Playmaker of the Season award in an impressive individual season despite Tottenham’s struggles.
Despite this, Man City failed to put in a bid to tempt Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy, who valued Kane at around £150m. So, where might Kane end up next season?
Where Is Harry Kane Most Likely To Play In 2022?
Kane seemed destined to join City last summer, but a move never materialized with the champions and never putting in a bid that Spurs would be tempted by. Despite City’s success, they still look in need of an out-and-out striker and could come back in for Kane to fill the void.
Spurs could be more tempted to sell with Kane getting older, and relations strained after making his desire to leave be known. However, with younger strikers like Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe available next summer, City may look elsewhere, particularly with Levy being notoriously difficult to negotiate with.
Kane has not been the same player for Spurs this year, but the club has just shown huge ambition by securing the services of as manager after sacking Nuno Espirito Santo after just four months in charge where he only oversaw 10 Premier League games.
Kane is reportedly thrilled at the idea of working with one of the most successful managers in modern times, and the Italian should ignite a Spurs squad that has talent but has been lackluster ever since sacking Mauricio Pochettino in 2019. If Spurs improve under Conte and start challenging for silverware, Kane is likely to stay at his boyhood club and would give him the chance to become the club’s all-time top goalscorer.
Man City or staying put at Spurs seem the most likely option for the England captain, but he could be tempted to reunite with Pochettino in Paris if things do not go well under Conte and City do not come in for him. Kane flourished under Pochettino, and the two had a very tight bond, so there have been rumours of a reunion in Paris.
Mbappe is currently at PSG but looking to move, which could create room for Kane to lineup alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr in what could be an incredible attack. Despite this, Pochettino’s position is in doubt, and Kane has hinted that he wants to stay in England and attempt to break Alan Shearer’s PL goals record. For betting types, a bet on PSG could be interesting as outside favorites. In the meantime, can scratch the itch with plenty of fun casino games to choose from.
It remains to be seen where Kane will be next season, especially now with Tottenham making a statement by signing one of the top managers in the world that could elevate the striker to new heights and finally bring silverware to the North London club.
