I knew the record was eight. Just kept creeping toward it the last three years, which was really exciting.”

Brooke Henderson Exudes Clutch Play under Pressure

Heading into the final round, Henderson would have tons of competitive golfers chasing her. LPGA household names like Minjee Lee and Ariya Jutanugarn, who were going to have to make the Canadian warm her eighth victory.

Brooke would utilize her powerful driving and iron play, while the rest of the field would make costly mistakes. She generated 8 of 14 fairways hit and 15 of 18 greens in regulation.

But down the stretch it would be her putting that would get her across the hurdle into the winner’s circle. With clutch par saves on holes 12, 15 and 16, Henderson would eventually win the golf tournament by four strokes. Elevating her into the conversation as one of the greatest Canadian golfers of all time.
