More Injuries in the Secondary

The injuries continue to pile up on Ottawa with two key players now with injuries on the secondary: Jerrell Gavins and Adbul Kanneh. No known updates were heard about either player after the game. The only significant information that was known is that Kanneh was seen with crutches on the sideline during the game. Does not sound like good news from that perspective. An update should be provided during the week on both players though.

Did Henry Burris play through an injury?

This question has to be rolling through everyone’s mind after that performance. Did Henry Burris get rushed back by the team and play through an injury? It sure looked like it. It looked like he was really struggling to get good grips on the ball. He looked to also be struggling to get some of the throws off. Burris’ statistics from the game would speak as well that he is not fully healthy.

He went 20 out of 34 passing, 218 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. After the game, Burris commented that his finger did not bother him at all, and he just threw the ball terribly throughout the game. There are no doctors at LWOS, but after seeing him struggle like that all night, he looked way off in his game. There just had to have been something bothering him.

You can say Burris was rushed back and it definitely is concerning after a performance like that. Ottawa has a long week ahead now to prepare for their next game against the Edmonton Eskimos. In the mean time, they will hope for some good news in terms of the injuries on the team.
