OTPP: Conference Finals, Memorial Cup, World Championships, AHL Playoffs

This week Dave and Ben go on the powerplay to discuss the NHL Conference Finals.  The Pittsburgh Penguins have taken an early lead in their series with the Tampa Bay Lightning, on the strength of two straight game winning goals from their superstar Sidney Crosby.  The Penguins are dominating, what adjustments can the Lightning make. Phil Kessel may have bad breath, but he’s also a big time playoff scorer. With Jonathan Drouin playing well, what was Jeremy Roenick‘s crazy hot take?

Why can’t the St. Louis Blues score goals? Can they come back from a 2-1 deficit to the San Jose Sharks? Why do the Sharks have the league and what are they doing one? How do the boys feel about Mike Milbury suggesting that the Blues should attempt to concuss Sharks players?

The NHL isn’t the only league with important and exciting games right now though. Dave and Ben look at the Memorial Cup with one of the strongest groups in years assembled in Red Deer.  They also look at the semi-finals of the IIHF World Championship in Moscow/St. Petersburg. Finally they finish up with a look at the final four teams standing in the AHL Calder Cup Playoffs.
