Stars' Tyler Seguin Out 3-4 Weeks With Achilles Tear

The Dallas Stars will be without the services of star Tyler Seguin for the stretch run.

Seguin, 24, is second on the Stars in scoring, potting 33 goals and 73 points. The other half of the dynamic duo, Jamie Benn, leads the Stars with 36 markers and 80 points. Each are third and second respectfully in the NHL scoring race to Patrick Kane.

Dallas general manager Jim Nill says that it is a 15% tear that was suffered when he awkwardly got tangled up with Lightning defenseman Anton Stralman. Seguin is expected to return for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Tyler Seguin missed 11 games last season due to injury from a low hit by Florida Panthers’ defenseman Dimitry Kulikov.

Seguin has helped the Stars to first place in the Western Conference, and they will have to compete without him as they look to lock down the top seed for the NHL playoffs.
