Chicago Bulls’ Kirk Hinrich Traded to Atlanta Hawks in 3-Way Deal for Justin Holiday and Shelvin Mack

Chicago Bulls' Kirk Hinrich was traded prior to the deadline Thursday to the Atlanta Hawks for Justin Holiday and a second round pick. The Utah Jazz received Shelvin Mack from the Hawks as well.

Chicago Bulls’ Kirk Hinrich Traded to Atlanta Hawks in 3-Way Deal for Justin Holiday and Shelvin Mack

Kirk Hinrich, 35, has been traded from Chicago Bulls to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Justin Holiday and a 2nd-round pick and Shelvin Mack to Utah Jazz.

The Chicago Bulls traded veteran Kirk Hinrich to the Atlanta Hawks prior to the trade deadline as part of a three-way deal. The Bulls received Justin Holiday and a 2nd round pick and the Utah Jazz received another veteran Shelvin Mack.

Kirk Hinrich to the Atlanta Hawks

Hinrich is a point guard/shooting guard who signed a two-year $5.58 million dollar contract in 2014. Hinrich is averaging 3.8 points and 1.7 assists per game. Hinrich is the all-time three-point leader for the Bulls.

Hinrich was drafted seventh overall by the Bulls in 2003. Hinrich played for the Bulls for seven seasons before being traded to the Washington Wizards in June 2010. In February 2011, Hinrich was traded to the Atlanta Hawks. This will be the second stint for Hinrich playing for the Hawks. Hinrich spent parts of two years for Hawks in 2011-12. In 2012, Hinrich re-signed with the Bulls.

Justin Holiday to the Chicago Bulls

Justin Holiday, 26, was an undrafted shooting guard/small forward and first played briefly in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2012 season. For the past few seasons, Holiday has had brief stints with the Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors and the Atlanta Hawks.

Shelvin Mack to the Utah Jazz

Shelvin Mack, 25, was a guard drafted 34th overall in the 2011 NBA draft by the Washington Wizards. Mack also played for the 76ers before signing with the Hawks. Mack scored a career-high 24 points off the bench in a 127-98 win over the Cavaliers on December 17, 2014.
