Texas A&M Aggies 2016 Recruiting Class

With national signing day now over, the Texas A&M Aggies 2016 recruiting class is now confirmed and coaches can now look to spring practice to see how his team is looking for the coming season. The young A&M team welcomes 21 new players for this year and hopes they can get back to winning ten plus games per season like in the first two years in the SEC.

Texas A&M Aggies 2016 Recruiting Class

The Aggies didn’t finish as strongly on national signing day this year as they had in previous years but in the closing days still managed to add some highly touted recruits like wide receiver Quartney Davis and linebacker Aaron Hansford. This is in addition to getting a commitment from Nick Starkel who was originally committed to UCLA. The hiring of Noel Mazzone as offensive co-ordinator clearly paid off there.

The recruiting ranks have this Aggies class ranked around 16th in the country which is lower than most of the previous classes assembled by Kevin Sumlin. Concerns over how long he’ll be with the program and the high profile transfers of both five-star quarterbacks in December certainly seemed to have hit the Aggies on the recruiting trail. The other worry being that from this class only seven players are on the defensive side of the ball especially given the lack of depth in recent years on the roster.

This is the confirmed 2016 recruiting class for Texas A&M:
