Joe Flacco and Justin Forsett Out For Remainder of the Season

The Ravens will close out their miserable 2015 without the services of Joe Flacco and Justin Forsett. Ravens’ quarterback Joe Flacco will miss the remainder of the season with an torn ACL which he suffered during  Sunday’s win over the St. Louis Rams.

The team has reported that Flacco could possibly also have a torn MCL in the process. More details will come on that in the near future.

The injury occurred when Flacco got tripped up by his own lineman with seconds left on the clock. When Flacco got up his was limping. Flacco continued to play to get his team into field goal range for two more plays.

“It’s just the nature of the game, man,” Flacco said following the game and on his injury.

Flacco’s injury is the latest, in what has been a disastrous season in injuries to the Ravens key players.  Earlier in the game the Ravens lost running-back Justin Forsett for the remainder of the season with a broken arm.  This adds to the list of  linebacker Terrell Suggs and wide receiver Steve Smith who are also out for the rest of the season with Achilles injuries.

Forsett fell hard on his right arm early in the football game, and did not return.  It was later announced his arm was broken.

Joe Flacco has yet to miss a game throughout his 8 year NFL career.  With Flacco out, veteran backup Matt Schaub should start for the rest of the season.

This season, Joe Flacco threw for 2,791 yards, which includes 14 touchdowns, 12 interceptions  and a quarterback rating of 83.1.  While Forsett rushed 151 carries for 641 yards and 2 touchdowns on the season.

The Ravens improved to 3-7 on the season but it  would more like a loss as more of their key players are injured.
