LA Galaxy II Friendly Against Sacramento Scheduled

Carson, CA (Monday, Nov. 4, 2015) – The following is a press release from LA Galaxy II of the USL.

LA Galaxy II announced today that the club will face Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday, Nov. 14 at Bakersfield College Memorial Stadium. The match, which is set to kick off at 4:45 p.m. PT, marks a doubleheader with Mexican Liga MX teams Toluca and Queretaro as a part of a Champions Soccer LLC International Soccer Challenge event.

Tickets, which will grant access to both matches in Bakersfield on November 14, are available at www.internationalsoccerchallenge.com or www.ticketfly.com. Ticket prices range from $15 to $35 in advance and $20 to $40 on the day of game at the stadium. The match between Toluca and Queretaro is set to kick off at 7 p.m. PT.

This LA Galaxy II friendly comes after earning a 1-0 road victory against Sacramento in the USL Western Conference Quarterfinal match over defending USL champions in September during the 2015 USL Playoffs. Los Dos have now won in two-straight matches against their Northern California rivals, also recording a dominant 4-0 win behind goals from Jack McBean, Ariel Lassiter, Jaime Villarreal and Andre Auras during the 2015 USL Regular Season.

In the club’s second season, LA Galaxy II won the 2015 USL Western Conference Championship with a victory over OKC Energy FC in October to advance to the team’s first ever appearance in the USL Championship.

Los Dos finished the USL Regular Season in fifth place in Western Conference standings with a 14-11-3 record to qualify for the USL Playoffs for the second-straight year. They were led in goals by forward Ariel Lassiter, who scored 15 times between the USL Regular Season and USL Playoffs. LA Galaxy Homegrown Player Raul Mendiola added 10 total assists for Los Dos on the year with Galaxy II goalkeeper Clement Diop earning 10 shutouts. LA Galaxy II also recorded the best road record in USL, going 11-7-0 in all competitions including regular season and playoffs.
