Florida Gators Win Big Against Georgia – What’s Next?

For a second straight season, Kelvin Taylor and the Florida Gators ran all over Georgia. Last year, Florida ripped off 415 rushing yards in playing the ultimate spoiler. The Gators’ 38-21 upset handed the SEC East title to Missouri. This year, Florida’s 258 yards on the ground meant much more in a 27-3 win as the Gators moved to 7-1 (5-1 in conference play) and all but captured the SEC East.

David Waters of GatorSportsRadio.com joins MarkRogersTV to discuss Florida’s performance in Jacksonville. Florida’s defensive dominance was obvious as the Gators held Georgia to just 69 yards on the ground and picked off first-time starter Faton Bauta four times.

In addition to the Gators’ devastating defensive display, Florida’s special teams continued their outstanding play as the Gators won the turnover battle handily. David and Mark also discuss some less obvious reasons for Florida’s success. Despite another big win, one that places the Gators on the brink of its first Eastern Division Title since 2009, David and Mark inspect a few areas that require some attention before the Florida State Seminoles visit the Swamp on November 28 and the Gators meet the SEC Western Division winner in Atlanta in early December.
