Jason Pierre-Paul is Not Only Missing His Entire Index Finger But Part of His Thumb Too

It’s come to light that All-Pro New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, is not only missing his entire index finger but part of his thumb too, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN.

Jason Pierre-Paul was hospitalized at Jackson Memorial Hospital after the July 4th fireworks accident. Where reports emerged from everything to the loss of his hand to that of his hand being crushed entirely. But reports finally emerged that his index finger had been amputated and that his thumb had been broken. This was after he sent the New York Giants officials home, including Vice President of Medical Services Ronnie Barnes.

After he left the hospital, he stayed out of sight. Not meeting anyone from the Giants organization, or talking to them for that matter. He pretty much left everybody in the NFL in the dark.

Jason Pierre-Paul did however return to the Giants earlier this month to take his physical in hopes to be ready by the regular season. Graziano reports that Pierre-Paul left when he and the Giants officials disagreed about his readiness to play. After discovering the condition of his thumb, which Jason Pierre-Paul and his officials hadn’t disclosed, the Giants became even more pessimistic about Pierre-Paul’s status.

Given this new information, its unclear if the Giants will pull their tender offer on the franchise tag to Pierre-Paul. It might not even be possible for Jason Pierre-Paul to play this season. This certainly adds doubts to whether Pierre-Paul will ever wear a New York Giants uniform again.
