Campbell has made one Major League Soccer regular-season appearance for the Black & Gold this season in a start at Philadelphia on June 3, where he played 90 minutes and recorded two shots. He was originally drafted by Crew SC in the First Round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft (19th overall) on January 15. He also made an appearance in the Black & Gold’s international friendly versus Valencia CF at MAPFRE Stadium on May 27.

Internationally, Campbell has earned two caps all-time for the Jamaican National Team, with both coming in the 2010 Caribbean Championship. He was called-up by Jamaica on August 28, 2015 ahead of two CONCACAF qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, both against Nicaragua, with the second of those two matches slated for this evening. Previously, he was a member of the Jamaican U-15, U-17 and U-20 sides, including wearing the captain’s armband for the U-20s.

Campbell joins Crew SC midfielder Romain Gall on-loan with Austin. Gall, originally loaned to the Aztex on July 9, has made nine appearances (five starts) for the USL side, registering one goal and two assists.

The Black & Gold travel to Philadelphia this weekend for a regular-season clash against the Eastern Conference-rival Union on Saturday, September 12 (7:00 p.m. ET / Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, CD102.5 FM, 103.1 FM La Mega).
