MLS Pick ‘Em 2015: Week 13 – Sporting Kansas City v. FC Dallas

MLS Pick ‘Em 2015: Week  13 –  Sporting Kansas City v. FC Dallas

Finally off the bottom! Last week the Russ and I hit the score, while most all of us got the outcome right with LA Galaxy defeating the Houston Dynamo at home. Will anyone be able to catch Russ as we start to round out the first half of the season? Let’s take a look at the standings:

Player Points Correct Outcome Correct Score Incorrect
Russ McKenzie 14 8 3 5
Jeff Krause 10 8 1 5
Eric Walcott 8 8 0 5
Alec Rivera 6 4 1 9
Ned Joyce 5 3 1 10
Joseph Goldstein 5 3 1 10
John Richan 4 4 0 9
Michael Norton 3 3 0 10

This week, FC Dallas visits Sporting Kansas City. Dallas is coming off a shock loss to Montreal and has now gone two weeks without a win. Dallas has been very strong this year, and they haven’t seen back to back losses since the beginning of April. Sporting started to put it all together and is undefeated in their last 5 and now sit in the final playoff spot. Will KC continue to climb the table in the West, or will Dallas get back on the winning track? Let’s see what the experts say:

SKC (2-1) Dwyer is finally starting to heat up and Benny is playing at a high level right now. Dallas is entering their annual summer slump early this year and is ready to drop 3 points.

SKC (2-1) When FC Dallas is on form they might be the most unstoppable team in MLS. That said, last week’s loss to Montreal showed Dallas’ bad side, and a road trip to Sporting Park is not a recipe to get back on track.

SKC (2-1) Dwyer and Nemeth came alive last week against New England, while the defense weathered the storm in Seattle. SKC is finding its groove as the summer slog begins, and the team from the Blue Hell will ascend the Western Conference standings.

Draw (2-2) SKC is coming around, but Dallas are tough this year. Dallas will have the extra motivation of trying to rebound from a loss against Montreal last week, but SKC will have the home crowd behind them. Both teams will be happy to come away with a point.

SKC (2-1) SKC has had a good run of form as of late. FCD will pressure at the end, but Sporting should be able to weather the storm.

FCD (2-0) Dallas is going to look to take this one by the horns after losing in Montreal last week. Sporting KC have been all over the map this season. Look for Dallas to bounce back and win this one.

DAL (2-1) SKC have been scoring a lot, and Dom Dwyer’s finally punched in at the office. But their injury list is growing, and Dallas need to rebound after losing to the “Forget MLS, CCL or bust” Montreal Impact last week.

Draw (1-1) SKC is riding high but Dallas won’t lose 3 in a row. Many chances created but the game will end in a tie which will feel like kissing your sister for both.
