As pressure begins to mount on F.C Barcelona, the coming month will be vital for Luis Enrique, with speculation rife primarily surrounding his decisions on his main squad. As of recently Luis Enrique and his Barcelona side have been praised for beating German champions Bayern Munich 3-0 at the Camp Nou and for eliminating French champions Paris Saint Germain.

Treble Trouble : Barcelona’s Top Priority

The story was completely different a few months ago when rumours of Lionel Messi’s exit from Spain were ignited when the Argentine superstar was reportedly not getting along with Luis Enrique, per rumours told to the press by French centre back Jeremy Mathieu. Barcelona and Lionel Messi have been on top form as of recent which leads to a high expectation for the Catalan giants to win La Liga, the Copa Del Rey, and the most important of all three, the UEFA Champions league.

The most pivotal moments of F.C Barcelona’s campaign will happen this month, as they face Bayern Munich at the Allianz arena in the second leg of the Champions league and then go onto face Athletic Club in the Copa Del Rey final. La Liga could also be decided in a big match between Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid who have been eliminated from ⅔  of the possible silverware winners this season. Luis Enrique seems to be getting along with Lionel Messi and the club is thriving; this does not mean that Barcelona are out of the woods yet. Bayern Munich are notorious for playing well at home and have slayed teams with a large margin of goals. When Porto won 3-1 at home they had their strategy set up for the second leg match up, possess and defend, Porto ended up losing up 6-1 that game.

Bayern Munich know that Barcelona have the best attacking trio of 2015, and they will rely on Pep Guardiola to deploy the proper tactics against a team of such large magnitude, especially one that are favourites to win the tournament. The M-S-N (Messi, Suarez, Neymar) attacking trio have totaled over 100 goals; most of which have been due to the exhilarating form that Lionel Messi is in.

Proceedings in the second leg will be anything but easy for the Spanish giants, but Bayern Munich know that if there is a glimmer of hope for them, it will rest solely in the stadium that saw Porto defeated 6-1  and Hamburg of the Bundesliga defeated 8-0; the Allianz arena.

Luis Enrique knows the expectation being placed on his shoulders, to carry a club to glory that usually takes years of building. Of course Luis Enrique theoretically got the easy part of this process and has taken on a Barcelona team in their respective prime.

Pep Guardiola was able to create and breed a new generation of football; one which defeated his Bayern side 3-0.

Luis Enrique has a team on the brink of a treble, and on the brink of winning La Liga with only a single victory needed, and a Squad with ambitions to win everything. That is why anything short of a treble could see Luis Enrique packing his bags and saying goodbye to the Camp Nou.
