Hoffman-Johnson Signs With Saint Louis FC

Gabe Hoffman-Johnson has been announced as the latest Saint Louis FC signing, joining the roster on Thursday.

Hoffman-Johnson (defender/midfielder, 23, 5′ 11”) will join STL FC following a four-year collegiate career at Dartmouth College.

“It is good to get Gabe into the fold,” Head Coach Dale Schilly said. “Gabe is technically-sound, possesses very good insight into the game, and is willing to communicate to bring that insight into the team.”

In his senior campaign, Hoffman-Johnson helped Dartmouth to reach the second round of the NCAA tournament for the first time in four years. His play in his final year with the Big Green was honored with All-Ivy League First Team honors.

“With Gabe, fans can expect a to see a technically-gifted player and a very good passer who has spent most of his youth as an attacking player,” Schilly added. “He has now transformed into a left back who can get forward and help unlock defenses.”

Hoffman-Johnson and STL FC will be in action this Saturday when the club hosts Wilmington Hammerheads FC at World Wide Technology Soccer Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM CST.
