Treble Radio: Chelsea Are Champions and The Relegation Battle is Growing

Chelsea are champions and the relegation battle is growing as things get tight at the bottom of the table. QPR and Burnley are basically down, who will join them? Who will stay up?

Chelsea are champions and the relegation battle is growing as things get tight near the bottom!

In this week’s Treble Radio episode, we managed to talk about Newcastle and John Carver. Will Newcastle be relegated? Is it the players’ fault or Carver’s? Arslan had a usual mini rant about Raheem Sterling yet again, while the Treble StatsMom, Laura pretended that United did not play last weekend. We tried to ask for her comment on the Robin vanPersie penalty miss, and she did not recall anything we were asking her.

This weekend features very important matches for the bottom five, with Premier League places still to be snapped up and relegation teams still yet to be decided. Find out what team could be in the bottom three if Leceister, Sunderland, and Hull win this weekend!

Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Laura was trained from birth to be a Nebraska Cornhusker Football fan. Unlike most Huskers, her dad played soccer and introduced her to that sport as well, which understandably stole her heart. Laura’s love for the Spice Girls and Harry Potter carried her love for soccer across the Atlantic to a team not unlike her Huskers, Manchester United. They were once great and believe they can be again, but it hasn’t really happened yet. Laura is also a fan of the MLS team Sporting Kansas City in the typical fashion of a Nebraskan: loving a KC team due to lack of anything at all in the state of Nebraska.

Eric Walcott is a Legislative Assistant in the Michigan House of Representatives by day, and a soccer fan 24/7. He’s played soccer his whole life and now covers MLS, Portland Timbers, and Arsenal for LWOS. Eric helped start the supporters group Sons of Ransom for NPSL club Lansing United because there’s nothing quite like standing in the crowd and supporting your local team every weekend. 4th place might not be a trophy, but THE FA CUP SURELY IS!

Treble Radio host, Arslan Siddiqui, is a Canadian who does not speak many languages, but he has definitely specialized in the language of the beautiful game. When his grasp of the language isn’t strong enough, he (tries) to substitute it with comedy. He is a Liverpool fan who started the ‘Anfield Alive’ column on Last Word On Sports, where he provides commentary and opinion on everything Liverpool and Premier League related. A university student and a young adult, he promises to provide entertainment and (a little bit of) knowledge!
