How did you get into MMA?
Well I had always been around boxing and prizefighting , a friend of mine on the door I work on shot up the MMA scene and made it to the UFC. It planted the seed for me. My children love watching it as much as I enjoy doing it. Their mother supports me so it’s what I’m going to do.
Who do you credit for helping you to get where you are?
It all started when I walked into the MMA Terror Squad. They started me from scratch, taught me how to kick, to grapple and head coach Spencer Hewwit alongside Jez Lord got me my first two pro wins. I’m thankful to everyone in the game that know me from Steve Semtex to Makunga Bunduku. It’s all fun. I’ve met some great people.
What is the most memorable fight you have been in? Why?
My first pro MMA fight. It was unreal. I walked out first to a big cage and people going crazy, my opponent walked out and I can remember just thinking, “F** he looks arrrrd!” But my corner and team’s belief in me made me believe I can go through anyone. I won in the first round via rnc submission.
If you could set up a match with anyone, past or present, who would you most like to fight? Why?
There’s a very long list of who I want to fight, and I’d be here a long time. So if i was to match anyone else it would be Lawler, Hendricks…
