FANTASY PROFILE: ADAM JONES, OF, BALTIMORE ORIOLES
LWOS Ranking 5, Captains’ Value: $21.47
Adam Jones isn’t the flashiest first round pick, but is he good or what? Jones has three straight seasons of a .281/29/82/88/7 slash line and has been one of the top fantasy outfielders in that span. In fact, Jones finished in the the top ten in scoring in both rotisserie and points leagues in 2015. Jones is still improving too, hitting a career high .344 against left handed pitchers last season. Durability and injuries are not major concerns with him either, as Jones has missed only three games in the last three seasons combined.
Adam Jones is as consistently good as anyone not named Mike Trout or Miguel Cabrera. There’s no reason why Jones wouldn’t be able to repeat the success he’s had in the last three seasons. I expect Jones to have another 30 HR, 100 RBI, 100 Run season in 2015. This production makes him very much worth your 1st round pick draft pick.
