FANTASY PROFILE: EMILIO BONIFACIO, 2B, CHICAGO WHITE SOX
LWOS Ranking 29, Captain’s Value $1.34
Emilio Bonifacio is drafted for one reason, and that is for his speed. Bonifacio has stolen 26 or more bases in four straight seasons and averages 31 steals a year in that span. Although he struggled in the second half of the year with the Braves in 2014, Bonifacio still stole 26 bags in 110 games, which would pro-rate to 38 SB if he played a full season.
Signing a 1yr/$4M deal with the Chicago White Sox this off-season should help his production. He will be playing in a hitters park on a team that has holes at second and third base. He should get enough playtime to steal 30-40 bases this season and is a great draft bargain in the later rounds of your draft.
