Fantasy NCAAB Top Plays 2-4-15

Welcome to the first Fantasy NCAAB Article for LWOS. My name is John Apricena and you will see me on fantasy sites under the name uncl3dunkl3. I have been following college sports for quite a few years and been an avid bettor.  I have a good handle on many teams playing styles, tempo, defensive schemes etc., which has led to much success playing daily fantasy. My job is to provide you with the top plays for the night. I will start these articles by providing top plays of the night, followed by mid-tier, and high risk/high reward plays. If any of you feel this can be done differently please drop a comment. I’ve always said the only type of positive criticism is negative criticism. I want to ensure that readers are getting the most from these articles daily, and anything I can do to help that, please let me know. I will post top plays for Fanduel, but can offer insight to DraftKings as well.

Fantasy NCAAB Top Plays 2-4-15

Top Plays

Ryan Boatwright -UConn Guard. Price 8100

Very few guards in the country are playing at Boatwright’s level right now. Last three games have been 42,30,29 fantasy points respectively. Also, can you ask for a better match up? Over half of East Carolina’s wins have come against teams most people don’t even know exist. Even though ECU just beat Cinci at home, ECU is win less on the road and you can expect a blowout here. Boatwright will score as often as he chooses tonight and fill up the stat sheet in other areas as always.

Isaiah Taylor – Texas Guard. Price 7800

Taylor is playing his best ball of the year and draws a good home match up against OKST. Also, Javan Felix is out with a concussion which means more minutes for Taylor who already is playing a lot. His last three games are 39,32,31. Look for Taylor to shoulder the load in a game that will require him to put up big numbers for the Longhorns to win.

Myles Davis – Xavier Guard. Price 6100

Xavier has a great home match up against Creighton tonight. Xavier is just better than Creighton is so many ways, and should handle business tonight with ease. Xavier’s best players the last few games has been Myles Davis. His price is just too low for the ceiling he can have tonight. His last three games have been 28, 34, and 47 fantasy points. He will do what he wants against Creighton’s guards tonight and will easily cover his value.

Mid-Tier Plays

Jahlil Okafor – Duke Forward. Price 9200

Duke at home against GTech just sniffs blowout. The only thing keeping Okafor off my top plays is that GTech is big inside, and the blowout factor. I expect GTech to double in the post to disrupt Okafor leaving Duke’s other plays to step up and have big games. I just feel at this tag he comes with slight risk, but of coarse the potential is there. Needing a 36 point fantasy night, may not be happen, but his floor is certainly the per-usual 25. As far as value goes, though don’t be surprised if he has a sub-par game while other Blue Devils step up.

Jordan Roper – Clemson Guard. Price 5100

Clemson’s best players in it’s last three games has been Roper. Since moving to the start role he is seen never drop below 30 and never attempt less than 11 shots. He is a big part of this offense, and Florida State is not great against skilled guards. Roper has been on a nice tear and his price is just too low for the kind of production you can expect out of him tonight. The slight risk here is, he is somewhat reliant on scoring points for fantasy production and if his shot is falling, he may not hit value.

Daniel Hamilton – UConn Forward. Price 7300

Hamilton is UConn’s go-to big man. East Carolina as already discussed is horrid on the road, and a disaster on the glass. Hamilton should easily scoop up easy boards and put backs. The only concern here is his price. He needs over 28 fantasy points to reach value, and he does not average this, however the value is there along with the matchup.

High Risk/Reward Plays

Stefan Moody – Ole Miss Forward. Price 6800

Moody always comes with risk as he is almost purely a scorer. This game though fits right into his wheelhouse. This could be one of those 25 point games where Moody also picks up a few boards and assists. the shots will be there, he just as to hit them tonight. If he does he can pay off the tag and then some.

Lester Medford – Baylor Guard. Price 5100.

Baylor has many options on offense. This is why a player like Medford comes with some risk. However, he has been playing very well, and his price has barely moved on Fanduel. Medford could pile up assists along with hitting jumpers to eclipse value, however the spread the wealth mentality of Baylor could pose issues for him hitting value tonight. If his shots are falling and his assists pile up, he could be in for a strong night against TCU who has struggled against guards throughout the year.

Rodney Purvus – UConn Forward. Price 4600

Noticing a trend here? UConn players is the way to go tonight. Rodney Purvis comes off the bench but see starter’s minutes. His price is basically minimum, and his upside is huge against a team like ECU. The risk is his usage. He is not too involved in the offense and also relies on shots falling to hit value. He will get open looks tonight and certainly has to be in play tonight while building a lineup based on his price.
