T2 Announce Schedule For 2015 USL PRO Season

PORTLAND, Ore. – USL PRO today unveiled the full 28-game, 2015 regular-season schedule for T2. Portland kicks off its inaugural campaign with a pair of home games on March 29 and April 2 as the club plays host to fellow expansion side Real Monarchs SLC and defending USL PRO-champion Sacramento Republic FC at Merlo Field.

Of Portland’s 14 home matches during the 2015 season, 12 will be played at Merlo Field, while matches against Orange County Blues FC on May 3 and Sacramento Republic FC on Sept. 12 will be played at Providence Park in downtown Portland.

Season tickets, starting at $8 per game, for T2 home matches are now on-sale at www.timbers2.com or by calling (503) 553-5555, with limited spots still available in the 1975 Trust.

Contesting an unbalanced, conference-based schedule, T2 will square off against Cascadia-rivals Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 and Seattle Sounders FC 2 twice at home and twice on the road during the 2015 regular-season schedule. Facing Sounders FC 2 on the road on April 11 and July 24, T2 plays host to Seattle on May 22 and June 29, while Whitecaps FC 2 visit Portland for matches on July 19 and Aug. 16. T2 travels to Vancouver for matches on June 21 and July 10. Playing each Western Conference opponent a minimum of once at home and once on the road, Portland’s schedule also features three meetings against expansion USL PRO side Real Monarchs SLC, the USL PRO entry of MLS club Real Salt Lake, including Portland’s season opener on March 29.

T2 play host to reigning USL PRO champion Sacramento Republic FC twice during the regular season, squaring off on April 2 at Merlo Field and in the regular-season home finale on Sept. 12 at Providence Park.

Portland plays home matches on five different days of the week this season, including 11 weekend fixtures. In addition to playing six Sunday home games, T2 play host to one Friday and four Saturday games.

T2 close out the 2015 regular season with five of their final seven games at home and finish the campaign on the road against LA Galaxy II on Sept. 16.

All T2 matches will be broadcast via a live web stream on www.timbers.com, with Timbers radio play-by-play broadcaster Jake Zivin calling the action.
