Pacquiao Agrees To Fight Mayweather, According to Promoter

Manny Pacquiao has agreed to terms for a fight against undefeated five-division world champion Floyd “Money” Mayweather according to Las Vegas promoter Bob Arum.

Mayweather’s camp has yet to agree to the terms on record, though Arum says that although his representatives have agreed to the fight terms, Mayweather has not.

According to Arum, the terms for the bout would be for May 2nd, with sources telling Yahoo Sports that the fight would likely take place at the MGM Grand Garden.

The long rumored bout has been the talk of the boxing world since 2009, with neither side able to fully agree on bout conditions to make the fight a reality. If the fight were to take place, most expect that the event would break both live gate and PPV records.

Pacquiao defeated Chris Algieri last November to retain his WBO Welterweight title, a title he took back from Timothy Bradley in April. Mayweather is coming off of back-to-back wins over Argentine Marcos Maidana.
