Adrian Peterson's Appeal is Denied

Following eight days of speculation Minnesota Vikings Running Back, Adrian Peterson has been denied his appeal by independent arbitrator Harold Henderson. Peterson had given evidence last week in a hearing over his personal conduct appeal. He had been suspended by the NFL and is not eligible for reinstatement this until April 15th 2015,  following a prolonged saga relating to Peterson being charged with child endangerment earlier this year.

Adrian Peterson’s Appeal is Denied

Peterson who has been on the Commissioners Exemption list has not played since week one of the season and will have to forfeit six game checks. In his ruling Henderson states the following:

The Vikings who were eliminated from the playoff picture last night, have yet to release a statement. The team has announced that a new domestic violence education program for all team personnel will commence in January 2015, just before Peterson’s ruling was made public.

All indications are that the NFLPA will be taking its action further and a court challenge to the NFL’s punishment and the arbitrator’s ruling appears to be on the horizon.

Today’s ruling seems to be just the beginning of this process, and there will be more lawyers, more hearings and more rulings in the future.  Stay tuned to LWOS as we will keep you updated, as always.
