Sports. Honestly. Since 2011

In a Word – Troublemakers – Marshawn Lynch, C.J. Mosley, Shonn Greene and more

In a Word is a week in sports recap column that recaps the major stories of the past week and sums them up, in just one word.

This week was unfortunately defined by some troublemakers. One was flown home from London for an unspecified violation of team rules. Another one was arrested for a parking incident and one more is wearing out his welcome on an NFL team.

It seems as if the NFL doesn’t have any lack of criminal behavior or players with attitudes stories week in and week out. It makes for some interesting reading but it’s becoming old reading these stories. It would be nice if professional athletes would focus on their profession and not getting into trouble with the law.

It wasn’t all sordid news this past week. A billionaire displayed some mega philanthropy. It was feel good news and I wish we had more of that type of news every week.

5 games in London in 2015 – Blimey

Serena Williams – Champion

C.J Mosley – Home

Marshawn Lynch – Ousted?

Shonn Greene – What?

Joe Maddon – Quit

Paulo Berejuk – Sure

Steve Nash – Out

Judge Michael Shipp – Job Killer (OK that was two words).

Paul Allen – Philanthropic

Atlanta Falcons – Inept

Jeanie Buss – Clueless

Big Ben – Wow!

Geno Smith – Benched

Minnesota Vikings – Dramatic

Chicago Bears – Obliterated

That’s it for this week. Visit us next week for another In a Word sports recap of the week that was in sports.
