Fantasy Premier League Transfer Tips: Gameweek 3

The Premier League has been underway for the past two weeks and some shocking events have occurred already. From Manchester United’s home loss on the opening day of the season to Swansea, or even Tottenham’s 48  pass build up which ended in the back of the net vs QPR. The only thing that has stayed constant since last season is the amount of times FPL players have been screwed over week after week. To help out the FPL community here is a list of one player from each position to take out(if you have him) and one to replace him.

Fantasy Premier League Transfer Tips: Gameweek 3

Goal-

Out- Tim Howard- Tim Howard is an excellent goalkeeper, the problem is his and Everton’s fixture list. Howard has only gotten two points so far in FPL and with Chelsea being his next opponent it does not look too bright for the American. Furthermore, Tim Howard is not a cheap goalkeeper with his price being 5.5 pounds.

In- Tim Krul- The penalty specialist from the Netherlands has not only acquired 8 points in two games, but he also has relatively easy fixtures coming up. Newcastle’s upcoming fixtures are vs Crystal Palace, Southampton, Hull, Stoke, Swansea, and Leicester. The toughest of those is probably Swansea. CP have no manager, Southampton are weak in attack right now, Hull are mediocre, and Leicester are a newly promoted team. Krul is also cheap with his price being 4.5 pounds.

Defense-

Out- Filipe Luis- Only one reason to take him out; he does not play. Many  pundits FPL were expecting Luis to get the starting berth but Mourinho decided to stick with the same back four as last season.

In- Ashley Williams- Ashley Williams has helped Swansea begin their tremendous start to the season.  First they beat United 2-1 and then they beat Burnley 1-0. Williams has also gotten 11 points so far and one clean sheet out of a possible two. Swansea’s upcoming fixtures include WBA, Chelsea, Southampton, and Sunderland. He is also priced only 5.0 pounds. The reason Eric Dier from Spurs, who has impressed recently, did not get in is due to Tottenham play Liverpool this week and they are a tough team.

Midfield-

Out- Christian Eriksen- Although Tottenham thrashed QPR in their 4-0 win, Eriksen did very little to contribute points wise. He has garnered 3 points in both games so far and vs Liverpool he will probably only get three points again, as long as they manage to keep a clean sheet. If  the fixtures were different for Manchester United and Arsenal then Alexis Sanchez and Juan Mata would probably be in this category.

In-  Gylfi Sigurdsson- The former Tottenham player has set the Premier League alight with his performances so far. He has already provided two assists and one goal in just two games. Swansea’s next game is vs WBA at home so not only does he have home team advantage, but he also is in form. Plus he only costs 6.3 pounds.

Attack-

Out- Loic Remy- The Frenchman has been poor for QPR and fantasy owners. He has gotten four points in two games and QPR look very poor. The Rangers lost 4-0 vs Tottenham and could not produce anything. Their next match is vs Sunderland who have surprisingly done well so far with two ties. One vs United and one vs WBA.

In- Stevan Jovetic- The in form striker is one that players must have if they have not made their transfer already or are okay with losing four points for making an extra transfer. Against Liverpool, Jovetic looked sharp after he got settled in and scored two goals. His next match is vs Stoke at home and with Džeko injured he will most likely start. His price is only 7.9 pounds and it will probably go up after this upcoming game week depending on how well he does.

These are some of the best players to get and some of the best players to get out of ones team. Fantasy football is tricky and this will hopefully help and best of luck.
