Donte Stallworth Tweets Out the Perfect Argument Why Michael Sam Should Not Be An Issue

Earlier this week, Missouri Defensive End/Outside Linebacker prospect Michael Sam revealed to the world that he was coming out as a proud gay man.  Since that announcement was made there has been near continuous speculation about how far this would cause the NFL Draft Prospect’s stock to fall, with one anonymous GM even saying that the revelation would cause Sam to go completely undrafted.

The argument is that the media attention and distraction that Sam would bring to a 53-man NFL roster wouldn’t be worth the hassle of having him on the team.

Former NFL Wide Receiver Donte Stallworth shot down this argument, and showed just how silly it is to hold Michael Sam’s sexuality against him, and the media coverage it will result in as a reason he shouldn’t be drafted.  He did so in a series of tweets.  We reproduce his great message here.
