The Florida Gators season has gone from bad to worse today as the team lost 26-20 to FCS lightweight Georgia Southern at a game played in the swamp in Gainesville. The loss is an instant contender for the worst in school history.
The struggling Gators, now 4-7 on the season, gave up 429 yards of offence to the Eagles. More amazingly it was 429 rushing yards as the Eagles did not complete a forward pass in the game.
Earlier in the week Florida AD Jeremy Foley said that Gators head coach Will Muschamp’s job was safe. In fact he said he was 1000% convinced that Muschamp was the man to lead the Gators.
We wonder if he’s lost a few percentage points today.
