The Future of LeBron James

As it seems, after Dwyane Wade leaves, Lebron James will spread his wings and fly off to another team – again. Which team will this be, fans wonder? Of course there are a lot of NBA teams that will be trying to court James when he becomes a free agent in 2014, but which will spark his interest? Let’s take a moment and look at some possible destinations:

The Cleveland Cavaliers are definitely trying to build their franchise in order to get James – again. King James did promise the Cavaliers organization a championship and he failed in his first go-around, but the Cavs have made some improvements since then. Kyrie Irving being their Point Guard, Andrew Bynum being their Center, Lebron James as Small Forward? James may decide to fly back to his home state of Ohio and win them the championship he once promised them.

The New York Knicks are a team who will be going after Lebron James once he becomes a free agent in 2014 to win a championship. The Knicks have a great team and it is possible James will consider going there. Tyson Chandler being a dominant Center in the game and also having championship experience. Carmelo Anthony will also be a free agent in 2014, but will he and James talk about him staying-put and winning a championship? It’s possible.

One last team, which has a huge eye out for Lebron James – the Los Angeles Lakers.  They have money, and they are willing to use as much as possible if it means having Lebron James on the same team as Kobe Bryant throughout an entire season. It’s obvious these two would be a dynamic duo and often have played alongside each other in the Olympics. Many NBA legends have come from Laker Land and it seems as James would fit right in, being the superstar talent that he is. James will definitely take into consideration joining the Los Angeles Lakers team, if not for the championships, for the money.

There is also the possibility of Lebron James staying with the Miami Heat, but with all the options he has and one of his best friends leaving, he probably won’t. James could pick any of these teams and many more, but we won’t see it happen until the summer of 2014. Keep your eyes peeled as you watch James go through the struggles and accomplishments this season, and pay attention to what is going on amongst other teams.  Perhaps we can slowly piece together other would-be suitors.
