Let's Get Saintified!

Sanctified – To be set apart or holy; We are Sanctified because we no longer are a part of the world our father god in heaven has set us aside as his.

Saintified – Translation – To be set apart or holy; We are Saintified because we are no longer a part of the mediocre teams in the NFL, We are the elite, We are the Who Dat Nation.

I am my own team’s worst critic, like a coach that’s never satisfied. I watched the two first regular season games on the edge of my seat, not in a good way either. Kinda half in my seat wanting to throw my phone at the t.v. kinda wanting to tear my eyes out of their sockets, for I couldn’t believe my eyes. Is this what I have waited (what seemed like centuries) to see …my team fall back into a rut?

The Atlanta victory was a rust-shaker, get our grove, our rhythm, back kinda victory. Tampa, well that game was sort of a face-slapper. What a slap in the face that we couldn’t capitalize on being given great field advantage due to the personal fouls our opponent’s obtained? There also was a W.T.F. moment in which had to have been the longest attempt to get into the end zone in all of the history of football, only to get into it by means of a field goal. The Cardinals game however, was well, like being reborn again!

What started off almost as bad as the last one , our defense allowed Carson Palmer and his flock to score. Another W.T.F.moment, damn D-line were you awake yet? Then our savior Drew Brees and his disciples were like Michael McDonald when he was taking it to the street’s, we took it to the end zone, bless you Mr. Robert Meachem, and welcome (back) home. Rob Ryan’s newly reborn D-line had the awakening, and came back from the hell of sorts they were previously in, to a revitalized, Defensive line any QB would fear. And they put the pure fear of the D on Palmer and his flock of offensive lineman. Like Jesus walked on water,  DEs Curtis Lofton, Cameron Jordan, and Junior Galette walked all over the Cardinals Offense, putting pressure on, rushing Palmer, bringing him down time after time after time. Safety Kenny Vaccaro proved to all the people he could handle anything cast before him, making a game-changer moment with interception in 4th quarter. Damn that D is on fire!!

Brees and his band of jolly men had them one hell of a day. With Jimmy Graham and his two T.D s, along with Marques Colston and Meacham TDs even Brees ran one into the endzone. Sometimes if you want something done, who better to do it than yourself, right Brees? Darren Sproles had a few good sprints down field showing Cardinals D he is a force to be reckoned with. Pierre Thomas also made alot if positive things happen, and with Mark Ingram out for game with toe injury, Khiry Robinson got his time to shine in the 4th with some outstanding foot work.

Bringing me to my knees thanking the Almighty football gods for bkessing us with the patience and knowledge to just stay the course, and let Brees lead us to victory.

Hail to the Saints, and be Saintified. – WHO DAT
