Barbora Krejickova seeks to reach her first grass-court final since she shockingly won Wimbledon two years ago. The Czech will face Magda Linette in the first semifinal in the WTA 250 event in Den Bosch. American qualifier Robin Montgomery awaits the winner of the last quarterfinal between Ajla Tomljanovic and Caty McNally, which was suspended due to rain. Only one confirmed semifinal is covered in this article.
WTA Den Bosch Semifinal Predictions
Barbora Krejcikova vs Magda Linette
Head-to-head: Krejcikova 3-1 Linette
Barbora Krejcikova cruised past Elena-Gabriela Ruse 6-1 6-2 to reach her first WTA semifinal since 2024. It is a staggering stat, but it is pertinent to note that Krejcikova battled career-threatening injuries in the past year. She played just 26 matches last season and has missed several key events in 2026, including Indian Wells, Miami, and the first half of the European clay-court swing. When healthy, Krejcikova continues to issue a timely reminder of how high her ceiling remains after a dominant week in Den Bosch. She has not dropped a set and will look to reach her first grass-court final since lifting the 2024 Wimbledon title.
Magda Linette has enjoyed plenty of success on faster courts, but not regularly on grass. This will be her second WTA semifinal on the lawns. Her first was 12 months ago in Nottingham, where she did not drop a set en route to the last four. The Pole has recorded emphatic wins over Kimberly Birrell, Mia Pohankova, and Zeynep Sonmez, losing just one set all week. With both players in good form, it will make for a compelling match and Linette cannot be written off. She beat Krejcikova in straight sets when they played in Strasbourg last season. That said, Krejickova’s fitness troubles are certainly behind her, and the Czech’s intelligent point construction and efficient net play should be the difference in this encounter.
Prediction: Krejcikova in 3
