The WTA Madrid Round of 16 unfolds on Monday. The whole round is being played on one day, instead of being split into two days. This means all eight matches are on the order of play, giving women’s tennis fans one of their best and biggest days of the 2026 season. Let’s look at four of the eight matches on the Monday card.
WTA Madrid
Andreeva – Bondar: Time 9:00 EST
H2H: 0-1
Mirra Andreeva is back. She struggled a lot in the first three months of 2026, but April has been a good month. A Linz championship, a Stuttgart semifinal, and now an appearance in the Madrid Round of 16 – with a chance to go deeper – represents the level of play one should expect from Andreeva, a top-10 player. She is confident again and is stacking wins. Anna Bondar is stacking wins, too. She has won eight of her last nine. She beat Elina Svitolina earlier in this Madrid tournament.
Best Bet to Make
Bondar and Andreeva are both playing well right now, but Andreeva is the better player with more upside. Andreeva regularly plays tougher competition, so while Bondar will not get blown out, she won’t make the match especially close, either. Andreeva is a top-10 player while Bondar is outside the top 50. There is a talent gap here. If Andreeva plays to her expected standard, she should win with some margin.
That being said, betting on Andreeva -4.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Noskova – Gauff: Time 10:00 EST
H2H: 0-2
Linda Noskova faces Coco Gauff in a battle of top-15 players. Noskova advanced to this round not by winning a match, but by watching her opponent withdraw from the tournament. Liudmila Samsonova withdrew before the scheduled match against Noskova began. This introduces the question of whether Noskova will benefit from the rest or get her rhythm thrown off. Coco Gauff battled past Sorana Cirstea in three sets to reach this round. She is not playing her best, but Gauff knows how to compete and win when she is not playing at an elite level.
Best Bet to Make
This match is very likely to be close. Gauff just doesn’t have the form or consistency of a player who should be expected to defeat a top-15 opponent in straight sets. It’s more likely that this match goes three sets, but if you bet on a game spread instead of a set spread, you can win even if Gauff wins a close two-set match. If this match ends 7-6, 6-4 for Gauff, Noskova will cover the game spread. The price is reasonable, too.
That being said, betting on Noskova +3.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Kostyuk – McNally: Time 13:00 EST
H2H: 1-0
Marta Kostyuk and Caty McNally come into this match playing great tennis. Kostyuk upset No. 5 seed Jessica Pegula, and she did so very easily, winning 6-1, 6-4. Kostyuk has won eight straight matches and is playing the best tennis of her season. McNally is playing well, too, having won four of five matches and making the Round of 16 at a 1,000-point tournament. McNally beat rising young Canadian Victoria Mboko earlier in Madrid en route to the fourth round.
Best Bet to Make
Kostyuk is very likely to win the match, but these players met just over a week ago in Rouen, and the match went three sets. McNally probably won’t win, but she should be able to keep the match close, given how well she is playing. Kostyuk’s blowout was partly the product of Pegula not playing well. If McNally continues to perform at a high level, this will not be an easy match for Kostyuk.
That being said, betting on McNally +1.5 sets is a value bet for sure.

Potapova – Rybakina: Time 15:00 EST
H2H: 1-1
Anastasia Potapova made the final of Linz before losing to Mirra Andreeva. She is now in the Madrid Round of 16 after beating former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko in three sets. Potapova was down a set and was down a break in the second and third sets but rallied to win. It was a very gutsy performance. Elena Rybakina is playing gutsy tennis, too. She trailed Qinwen Zheng in the third round but battled back to win in three sets. She won another three-setter earlier in Madrid over Elena-Gabriela Ruse.
Best Bet to Make
Rybakina, the No. 2 player in the world, is showing a lot of mental toughness, playing like the strong competitor she was a few years ago before she struggled and regressed in 2025. The 2026 season has marked the resurgence of Rybakina, who has been very impressive this season. However, while Rybakina is winning matches, she isn’t always covering spreads. She’s winning close matches, getting taken to three sets. This is the difference between admiring an athlete for winning her job and expecting an athlete to cover a spread and cash a ticket. Potapova is playing well enough to keep this match close.
That being said, betting on Potapova +5.5 games is a value bet for sure.
