US Open Best Bets Including Karolina Muchova vs Naomi Osaka

It’s time for the US Open quarterfinals. There will be two different articles for the quarterfinals, one for the first two matches and the other for the second. As always, feel free to leave a comment. I genuinely enjoy interacting with our readers. I’m not above constructive criticism. In fact, I try to welcome it these days. With that, let’s get to our picks.

WTA U.S. Open

Pegula – Krejcikova: Time 17:30

H2H: 1-2

Jessica Pegula is 1-2 lifetime against Barbora Krejcikova, but her win came in the round of 16 at the 2023 Australian Open. They played a WTA Masters Cup event indoors in 2024, but haven’t met since then. Entering the match, Pegula is 6-4 in her last ten. Krejcikova is 7-3 in her last ten. Pegula made it to the finals here last year, but she has yet to win the event or any major, for that matter. She’s made short work of every opponent she’s faced thus far, but I expect Krejcikova to be a different beast.

Best Bet to Make

Krejcikova is the underdog in this match, and the odds are a bit surprising. In one book, Pegula is more than double her value at 3.09 to 1.45, but most books have this as a 2.9-1.4 affair, and that’s a bit more palatable. Pegula has yet to make it past the round of 16 in a major this year, so I genuinely feel like Krejcikova has tremendous value. If you’re absolutely against betting on Krejcikova, I would take something like 1xBet’s 1.98 on over 21.5 games. If Krejcikova pulls off the upset like I think she can, then you’ll definitely cash out laying 3.09 on her.

That being said, Krejcikova winning is a value bet for sure.

Muchova– Osaka: Time 17:00

H2H: 2-2

In many ways, this is the match that needed to happen. Naomi Osaka and Karolina Muchova have a solid history at Majors, and in general. They’ve met four times before, and the last two were at a Major. Osaka won their most recent affair earlier this year in the second round of the Australian Open. Muchova won their second-round match in this very tournament last year. That means whoever wins this match will have taken the rubber match in both Majors and the overall rivalry. This is the stuff rivalries are made of.

Best Bet to Make

Both of these women are capable of winning this match, but only Osaka has won the whole tournament before. She’s also 9-1 entering the match, while Muchova is 7-3 in that same timeframe. There are several ways to bet this match, but you’re going to have to go the prop bet route to come away with any substantial winnings. If you’re simply looking for something simple that meets our line minimum, Unibet is offering over 19.5 games at 1.52, but these two have two previous three-set affairs in matches on a hardcourt, and three of them overall. I think over 21.5 games at 1.86 on 1xBet is the right way to go.

That being said, Over 21.5 games is a value bet for sure.
