US Open Best Bets Including Novak Djokovic vs Taylor Fritz

It’s time for the US Open quarterfinals, and David’s computer is having trouble, so I’ve stepped in for the night to help out. He should be back tomorrow, but I’m always happy to help out when needed. If you want to leave a comment about how much better he is than I am, I won’t be offended.

WTA U.S. Open

Auger Aliassime – De Minaur: Time 17:00

H2H: 3-2

Felix Auger-Aliassime and Alex De Minaur have a solid rivalry. The Canadian has a 3-2 lead, with wins at the Davis Cup, Cincinnati, and an indoor match at the Challenger series level. Alex De Minaur’s two wins came in their only two matches on clay. To be honest, I find that odd, given Auger-Aliassime’s overall record on clay compared to De Minaur’s record on hardcourt. Auger-Aliassime only has one appearance beyond the round of 16 in 2021, when he made the semifinals, but De Minaur made the quarterfinals here last year and in 2020.

Best Bet to Make

Despite Auger-Aliassime’s record against De Minaur, the Australian is the favorite in this match, according to the books. De Minaur has had a tremendous year in 2025 at 42-15 overall with one tournament victory. Auger-Aliassime has two tournament victories on the year, but he’s 35-20 overall. De Minaur does have the better record on a hardcourt in 2025 at 23-7 to Auger-Aliassime’s 20-8. This match is pretty close overall, but I think Auger-Aliassime is going to win here.

That being said, Auger-Aliassime winning is a value bet for sure.

Djokovic– Fritz: Time 02:30

H2H: 10-0

Taylor Fritz has not had the best luck against Novak Djokovic, and that’s putting it extremely mildly. Fritz is a staggering 0-10 against the Joker, and it really hasn’t mattered where they’ve played. Djokovic is a solid 9-1 entering this match, and he’s won here four different times. His last US Open title came in 2023. Fritz is 8-2 in recent play, and he has two tournament titles on the year. Both of his titles came on grass, but the last one was in June.

Best Bet to Make

Even though he’s dominated Fritz in their rivarly, Djokovic is a modest favorite against the American. This is likely due to the fact that Fritz made the final here last year, and he generally plays really well in Majors. He’s made at least the fourth round of every major entering the US Open. There are also going to be plenty of people who bet Fritz simply because there often comes a point in rivalries of this nature where the favorite simply overlooks the underdog. At 2.43, Fritz is going to look reallyk good to some people, but I’ll take Djokovic at 1.64.

That being said, Djokovic winning is a value bet for sure.
