ATP Bastad Day 4 Predictions Including Roberto Bautista Agut vs Dominic Thiem

Roberto Bautista Agut in action at the ATP Montpellier Open.

The post Wimbledon clay court swing is upon us. Several top ATP players have descended on Bastad to keep their 2022 season going and this week promises to be filled with high octane tennis. As ever, we at LWOT preview and predict all four schedule matches for you.

ATP Bastad Day 4 Predictions

Laslo Djere vs Marc-Andrea Huesler

Head to head – First Meeting

Marc-Andrea Huesler took out a quality opponent in Holger Rune and his next opponent is another potent player on clay. Laslo Djere generally is a good proposition to go deep in sub Masters clay court tournaments and his first round match indicates nothing out of the ordinary. Expect Djere to be too strong for the Swiss.
Prediction: Djere in 2

Sebastian Baez vs Alejandro Davidovich Fokina

Head to head – First Meeting

Both players have had decent seasons so far and this will be an interesting match. Sebastian Baez had a decent French Open and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is always a handful on the red dirt. This match has all the ingredients to go all the way with the Spaniard just having enough consistency in his game to get the win.
Prediction: Davidovich Fokina in 3

Federico Coria vs Andrey Rublev

Head to head – First Meeting

Andrey Rublev returns to the court for the first time since Wimbledon began and by all means he should be raring to go again. The Russian plays well during this time of the season and it’s interesting to see that he’s opted to play a clay court tournament. Federico Coria provides a compelling first round match up and he’s very capable of pouncing on a slow start from Rublev. Expect the Russian to eventually find his rhythm and wrestle control of the match.
Prediction: Rublev in 3

Roberto Bautista Agut vs Dominic Thiem

Head to head – Bautista Agut 4-1 Thiem

What a fascinating clash we have on our hands. Dominic Thiem finally snapped his winless streak but he’d like to have a different opponent than the one he’s slated to face. Roberto Bautista Agut has had Thiem’s number during their rivalry and the Spaniard will be fancying his chances in this match. That being said, Bautista Agut’s fitness is a question mark. If fit, the Spaniard goes through.
Prediction: Bautista Agut in 3
